What airport should I fly into for the Gay Paris extension?
The Gay Paris pre-tour extension begins in Paris on Friday, 27 August.
You should plan to arrive at Grand Mazarin no later than 4:00pm, so there is plenty of time to check in, settle in and be ready for the start of the extension.
You can fly into either Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) or Paris Orly Airport (ORY). Both airports have transport options into central Paris, so choose the flights that work best for your airline, schedule and frequent flyer plans.
Getting from the airport to the hotel
We have chosen not to include airport transfers on this trip, and that is all about saving you money. With guests arriving from different cities, countries and flights, it is much more cost effective for everyone to make their own way to the hotel.
If you are flying into Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport, the easiest option is usually the RER B train to Châtelet Les Halles. The journey takes around 40 minutes, and from there it is approximately a 5 to 10 minute walk to Grand Mazarin.
Prefer a taxi or Uber? No problem. An official taxi from Charles de Gaulle to the Right Bank of Paris is currently a fixed fare of €56, and the drive usually takes around 45 to 60 minutes, depending on traffic.
Do you accommodate single travellers?
Yes, absolutely. Many of our guests travel solo, and we always do our best to make single travellers feel welcome from the very beginning.
For the Gay Paris extension, we have allocated a limited number of rooms for solo travellers, available with a single supplement.
We also offer a roommate matching option. If you would like to share a room, we can match you with another traveller of the same gender who is also looking to share.
Do I need a visa to travel to Europe?
Most travellers from Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the United States do not need a visa for short holidays in France and much of Europe, provided they are travelling as tourists and staying within the permitted time limits.

Our adventure kicks off in style at the ultra-chic Grand Mazarin Hotel, a 5-star gem in the heart of the Marais – the city’s coolest neighbourhood and the epicentre of Parisian LGBT culture. After settling in, join us this afternoon for a fabulous walking tour of the Marais, where we'll give you the inside scoop on the hottest bars, clubs, and must-visit boutiques.
We'll then take you to one of our favourite local spots for some welcome drinks, canapes and the opportunity to get to know your fellow travellers.

Get ready for a whirlwind adventure as we hop on our private luxury coach for a morning of sightseeing with, Kyle! We’ll see all the iconic landmarks – from the Champs-Élysées and the Arc de Triomphe to Notre-Dame, the Opera House, and of course, the world-famous Louvre. We’ll make plenty of stops for those must-have photos, so don’t forget your camera!
Our grand tour wraps up at none other than the Eiffel Tower – the Iron Lady herself. We’ll take the elevator up to the first floor, where we’ll be treated to an unforgettable three-course lunch at the acclaimed Madame Brasserie, complete with perfectly paired wines and stunning panoramic views of the city. A truly chic Parisian experience you won’t want to miss!

Today is all about making your Parisian dreams a reality. Always wanted to visit Versailles? Or perhaps you’re keen on exploring the masterpieces at the Louvre or Musée d'Orsay? Maybe a little high-end shopping along Rue de Rivoli or Avenue Montaigne is more your style? The choice is yours! After booking, we’ll chat with you individually to help craft your perfect Parisian day.
But the real highlight? Tonight, we’ll bid Paris farewell with a bang! We’ve reserved the best tables at the legendary Moulin Rouge, where you’ll indulge in a decadent 3-course dinner paired with wine and champagne before the curtains rise. Get ready for an unforgettable evening of show-stopping performances, breathtaking choreography, extravagant costumes, and the Moulin Rouge’s signature Parisian flair. Yes, you CAN CAN CAN! It’s the perfect, over-the-top finale to our fabulous Parisian adventure.

After a leisurely breakfast, it’s time to bid farewell to the City of Light. We’ll transfer to Gare de Lyon station and board the high-speed TGV train bound for Avignon, where our next adventure, the Rosé Royale, awaits!

What airport should I fly into for the Gay Paris extension?
The Gay Paris pre-tour extension begins in Paris on Friday, 27 August.
You should plan to arrive at Grand Mazarin no later than 4:00pm, so there is plenty of time to check in, settle in and be ready for the start of the extension.
You can fly into either Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) or Paris Orly Airport (ORY). Both airports have transport options into central Paris, so choose the flights that work best for your airline, schedule and frequent flyer plans.
Getting from the airport to the hotel
We have chosen not to include airport transfers on this trip, and that is all about saving you money. With guests arriving from different cities, countries and flights, it is much more cost effective for everyone to make their own way to the hotel.
If you are flying into Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport, the easiest option is usually the RER B train to Châtelet Les Halles. The journey takes around 40 minutes, and from there it is approximately a 5 to 10 minute walk to Grand Mazarin.
Prefer a taxi or Uber? No problem. An official taxi from Charles de Gaulle to the Right Bank of Paris is currently a fixed fare of €56, and the drive usually takes around 45 to 60 minutes, depending on traffic.
Do you accommodate single travellers?
Yes, absolutely. Many of our guests travel solo, and we always do our best to make single travellers feel welcome from the very beginning.
For the Gay Paris extension, we have allocated a limited number of rooms for solo travellers, available with a single supplement.
We also offer a roommate matching option. If you would like to share a room, we can match you with another traveller of the same gender who is also looking to share.
Do I need a visa to travel to Europe?
Most travellers from Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the United States do not need a visa for short holidays in France and much of Europe, provided they are travelling as tourists and staying within the permitted time limits.
For the Schengen Area, this is generally up to 90 days in any 180 day period. Entry rules can vary depending on your passport, nationality, travel history and which countries you are visiting, so it is important to check the latest requirements for your own itinerary before you travel.
From late 2026, visa exempt travellers may also need to apply online for an ETIAS travel authorisation before travelling to many European countries, including France. It will be a simple online pre travel authorisation once the system begins.
We will keep guests updated as the official requirements are confirmed, but all travellers remain responsible for checking the latest entry rules for their own passport and travel plans before departure.
If your trip includes the United Kingdom before or after Europe, please note that the UK has its own entry requirements and may require a separate UK Electronic Travel Authorisation or visa.
We recommend checking the relevant embassy, consulate or your government travel advice website well before departure to confirm the latest rules for your passport and travel plans.
Do you cater for special diets?
Of course. Please let us know through your online booking form if you have any strict dietary requirements or allergies.
We can cater for common dietary requirements such as vegetarian, vegan, gluten free and lactose free. We can also assist with allergies, provided we are informed in advance.
This itinerary has been designed as a food and wine experience, so we do encourage guests to be open to trying new foods, local flavours and regional specialities along the way. One of the great joys of travel is tasting things you may not normally try at home.
We do not cater for lifestyle or fad diets such as keto, Atkins or similar. We also do not need to know individual food preferences, such as not liking pumpkin or red onion, unless it is an allergy or strict dietary requirement.
Wine will be a feature of the tour, but if you do not drink alcohol, please let us know and we will do our best to arrange suitable alternatives where possible.
What electrical sockets are used in France?
Standard European sockets are used everywhere in France. (Type F) – 2 pins, 220V. For those of you travelling from the United States, to protect your appliances and to not blow the fuses in the Chateau and in the hotels, please make sure your travel adaptors also have a currency converter in them as everything operates on 220 volts.
